Mirror Image
Initially I formed a band called Mirror Image, which consisted of myself and friend Colin Jacques (Guitar). Later he introduced his friend Phil another guitarist/singer. The band didnt really have direction and although I was writing then, I left to seek fame and fortune elsewhere and I'm still looking.
Changes
I then with formed a band called CHANGES (pictured left), which consisted of Paul Etchells (bass) and John Widders (Guitar) and myself on drums, playing mainly cover versions of late sixties/early seventies rock. After several practice sessions (months later)John introduced a guitarist and female singer. I left shortly after this and Im not sure what happened to the group, but I believe the girl whose name I can not recall went on to sing and release a single.
Storm in a Teacup
I joined responding to an advert at Acme Drum Co (sadly no longer there, well I could not find it after walking the length and breadth of streets in Liverpool), a place I used to frequent to upgrading my drum kit in Liverpool (pictured above playing support for Blue Poland at the Warehouse). We were playing all original material which appeared to be written during practice sessions at the back of Hollywood Night club in an old police cells in Liverpool
Peroxide
Peroxide was formed through various friendships in my home town of Kirkby (China Crisis fame). We played mostly cover versions in a rock/punk vain.

The equipment used was all mine as we relentlessy practiced to the annoyance of my parents in my bedroom. Time moved on and we went our separate ways, and I was left to dream again.
Blueprint
The last group I was with prior to getting married was a band called Blueprint. This started following an ad again at my favourite drum shop, but I had to audition, then they asked me if they were good enough, they blew me away. We did cover versions of blues and had them rocking in the pubs in Liverpool. We even did a little work for charity, which was our first gig
Sadly Pete the guitarist nine months down the line tells us hes emigrating to Australia. After several auditions for a guitarist and vocalist we lost interest as we could not replace Pete. He was so enthusiastic about his blues, Laurence would say do you know this song and play a little, Pete would then say its originally by someone playing on a washboard and using a real bottle as a slide deep in Louisiana, how we laughed.
Laurence - Lead Guitar
Vince - Saxophone
John - Bass
Pete - Guitar
Steve - Drums
After several years out of music, I realised it still gave me the same buzz as when I was a teenager. I began to write again after several attempts using tape recorders, recording machines I decided to come into the 21st Century and use a computer. I purchased Cubase, as this was the one recommended by Andertons in Guildford and then tried to understand how to use it. As time went on I built up my equipment, which consisted of adding, removing and upgrading.
The No-Mads
Following a conversation at work I found myself talking about music again, which resulted in the formation of The No Mads.
Dale - Guitar
Phil - Guitar
Steve - Drums
Kurt - Bass
We played a selection of late sixties/early seventies and a few modern rock tunes, which reminded me of my days with Changes.
Practice used to take place once a week at my house until my neighbours complained at the noise, we werent that loud (honestly even though other neighbours I heard later listened intentively) and did finish before 10pm. This then prompted The No Mads noisy neighbours tour of Spalding (I later printed a T-shirt and never spoke to them again, Dale answered the door and thought it was our kebabs being delivered, the look on his face. Practice now took place in a church hall and and a new guitarist joined called Adam, the group lasted a couple of months, then it all stopped due to commitments from various members.
10am
I am now here but hopefully a little further, but still love the music and really what to push myself.
A recent collabration with a Martin Tranter, who has the same passion I have, has pushed me further and I then decided to go under the name of "Spooky Agenda".
